John Bickel Joins Eli Lilly Korea As General Manager, Marking New Leadership Vision
Bickel, new CEO of Eli Lilly Korea, aims to quickly introduce innovative medications to Korean patients.
As reported by the company, Bickel earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Butler University in the United States in 1998 and began his career with Eli Lilly that same year. Since 2023, Bickel has been the COO of Eli Lilly Japan, where he leads the entire marketing and sales operations in the Japanese market. Additionally, he has managed the launch of numerous pharmaceutical products in the U.S. and global markets, specifically in the oncology and neuroscience sectors.
Eli Lily Korea made a comment, “During his service in Japan, COO Bickel significantly bolstered the business capabilities of the subsidiary by implementing innovative marketing strategies, integrating digital and omnichannel approaches, and utilizing data analytics tools for key marketing decisions. He also played a pivotal role in talent acquisition and development, ensuring the successful realization of these strategies.
Bickel expressed his excitement about his new appointment stating, "I feel honored to lead Eli Lilly Korea when our innovative medicines for diabetes, obesity, cancer, and immune disorders are gaining significant attention in Korea.”
Bickel emphasized his dedication as the CEO of Eli Lilly Korea to swiftly introduce the company's new medications to patients in Korea, aiming to help them conquer severe and life-impacting illnesses.
