Elona Kogan Appointed Chief Legal Officer at Terns Pharmaceuticals

Elona Kogan, Esq. has been named chief legal officer of Terns Pharmaceuticals, starting immediately. With his extensive expertise in the business, Kogan has successfully led a number of biotechnology firms through significant development and acquisitions. The CEO of Terns, Amy Burroughs, stated that Kogan's track record of success and his in-depth understanding of the sector will be key factors in the company's expansion.

After serving as chief legal officer at Seer, Inc. for more than 20 years, Kogan brings a notable background in the life sciences to Terns. She was instrumental in the company's IPO and commercialisation during her time there. In addition, she has had executive roles at King Pharmaceuticals, Avanir Pharmaceuticals, and ARIAD Pharmaceuticals.

As part of the transition, Chief Operating Officer Bryan Yoon, Esq., will stay with the firm until September 3, 2024. Chief financial officer Mark Vignola, Ph.D., will step down as part of a prearranged transition when a new CFO is appointed. Dr. Vignola will remain CFO until the end of January 2025, or until a replacement is identified, while a search is now under progress.

In addition to expressing her gratitude for their assistance throughout her transition to become the new CEO, Ms Burroughs commended Bryan and Mark for their contributions to Terns' growth and development. Dr Vignola conveyed her satisfaction with the company's achievements and the chance to keep developing its pipeline with a dedicated group of employees and a CEO.
