Borealis Embarks on Fresh Journey with New CEO Appointment.
This announcement follows months after Borealis and former CEO Thomas Gangl
mutually decided to end Gangl’s employment contract. Daniela Vlad, Chairwoman of
the supervisory board of Borealis & EVP Chemicals of OMV said “Stefan
Doboczky brings a wealth of experience with an impressive leadership track
record in the chemicals industry spanning over 30 years. I am delighted to welcome
him to Borealis with his in-depth knowledge of our industry and his strong
commitment to further elevating Borealis’ market leadership through its proven
innovation and technological capabilities. I look forward to working with

Doboczky began his career in 1992, eventually reaching
executive board and CEO roles at international publicly traded chemical
companies. Since 2019, he has served on the OMV Supervisory Board, but he
resigned to take on a new position at Borealis. Doboczky has a Ph.D. in
Chemistry from the Technical University of Vienna and an MBA from IMD Lausanne.
Doboczky said in a statement "I would like to
