As per the reports, Cresset has set foot in India to expand its Asia Pacific presence. The company provides innovative solutions for computational drug discovery and development. It has created its new headquarters in Bangalore, a tech hub of India.
This recent announcement solidifies Cresset's position as a prominent player in the global drug discovery arena. The British Company has grown into a drug discovery solutions company, with more than 60% of its revenue coming from foreign lands. Cresset has witnessed a rapid growth in the past few years,
From its origins in the UK, Cresset has grown into a drug discovery solutions company with a genuine global reach, with more than 60% of its revenues now coming from outside the UK. The company has experienced rapid growth in recent years, achieving an average annual growth surpassing 25% and notable growth in employee numbers since 2020.
The new site in India will cater to the growing demands of Cresset's APAC customer base, extending its presence to South Korea, Japan, China, and Australasia.
Since Bangalore boasts a wealth of technology resources, it will enable Cresset to leverage the computational chemistry talent available in the city while being closer to its customer base. Cresset plans to hire new employees in sales, support, development, and more areas.
The Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of Cresset, Dr. Mark Mackey, says, “Launching our new site in India marks a significant milestone in our international growth and expansion. The talent pool and centers of excellence available in the region will enable us to expand our existing service offering to clients and develop strong relationships through face-to-face contact on the ground.
“We already have a satellite office space in Bangalore, where a high proportion of our Indian staff are currently based. The new office will allow us to grow our overall business and gain access to grant funding in the Indian market.”
