In order to resolve the lawsuit he brought in Illinois state
court, Ronald Kimbrow and GSK have
negotiated a private settlement. In this settlement, GSK disavows all
culpability. As for GSK, the case will now be dismissed.
The scientific community has come to the conclusion that
there is insufficient evidence to support any concern that ranitidine raises
the risk of cancer, based on 16 epidemiological studies that examined data
related to ranitidine usage in humans.
GSK is committed to maintaining a strong self-defence and
handling this legal dispute in a way that benefits the firm and its investors.
