IPA's 9th Global Pharmaceutical Quality Summit in Mumbai on June 27-28 will focus on 'Advances in Manufacturing and Quality – Patient Centricity.'

On June 27
and 28, the IPA or Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance, will hold the ninth Global
Pharmaceutical Quality Summit in Mumbai. This year's summit focuses on
'Advances in Manufacturing and Quality – Patient Centricity.' The event will
feature sessions on utilizing technology to shape the future of pharmaceutical
operations and manufacturing over the next decade.
The summit
will feature speakers from major global regulatory bodies like WHO, USAFDA,
DCHI and MHRA, as well as industry leaders, academics, and experts. They will
be discussing the prominent issues in quality management and provide updates on
regulations. With a set of impressive & knowledgeable speakers and
panelists, the summit guarantees valuable insights into the changing dynamics
of pharmaceutical manufacturing. Nilesh Gupta, Chair of the Quality Forum at IPA
and Managing Director of Lupin, will inaugurate the summit, which will be
attended by stakeholders from the industry, government, and global experts.
Following this, a report titled ‘Shaping the Next Decade of Indian
Pharmaceutical Manufacturing’ will be released. The Summit will address a
variety of strategic subjects, considering current and future trends in Quality
and Manufacturing. This will include topics like the future of AI applications
in pharmaceutical quality & operations, smart operations, pharmaceutical
operations, biopharma opportunities and cyber security..
Participants
will have the opportunity to gain deeper insights into recent focus areas such
as significance of Data and Documentation, Talent Capable Building and Quality
Management Maturity Models. Additionally, guidance documents on Good
Engineering Practices and Process Analytical Technology (PAT) for Oral Solids
and APIs will be introduced at the Summit. Sudarshan Jain, Secretary General,
the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance said in a statement, “The Indian
pharmaceutical industry is undergoing a transformative era marked by
advancements in manufacturing such as continuous manufacturing, green
chemistry, and 3D printing. These initiatives must prioritise
patient-centricity.
He further
added, “By focusing on patient needs in design and manufacturing, India will
further cement its position as ‘The Pharmacy of the World’. Quality is a
fundamental tenet of the pharmaceutical sector. IPA is committed to making
India the global quality benchmark. The 9th GPQS summit is a step to bring
domain experts, global regulators, and industry to one platform to drive
discussions on key priorities to define the next decade for pharmaceutical
operations and manufacturing.”
