Lifecore Appoints Legal Veteran Tom Salus to Executive Team

Lifecore Biomedical, Inc. (NASDAQ: LFCR), a fully integrated contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), announced the appointment of Thomas (Tom) Salus as Chief Legal and Administration Officer and Corporate Secretary. With more than 30 years of legal and management experience, Salus brings expertise in corporate governance, SEC reporting and compliance, business transactions, financings, and regulatory compliance.
At Lifecore, Salus will oversee all legal activities and human resources, while playing a key role in strategy development and corporate initiatives focused on partnerships and strategic alliances.
Prior to joining Lifecore, Salus served as General Counsel – Corporate, Securities & Transactions and Assistant Secretary at Viatris Inc., a Nasdaq-listed global pharmaceutical company. His responsibilities included legal support for global business development, complex transactions, and SEC/Nasdaq compliance. He has also held legal leadership roles at VWR International (now part of Avantor, Inc.) and PPL Corporation, and began his legal career at firms including Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP.
Lifecore President and CEO Paul Josephs said that Salus’s appointment strengthens the company’s leadership team and enhances internal capabilities in governance and compliance. He noted Salus’s deep experience in the life sciences industry and strategic insight as important assets for the company’s growth.
