Bengaluru, January 10, 2025 – Pharma Now proudly participated as a media partner in the 18th edition of PharmaTech Expo 2025 and LabTech Expo 2025 hosted by PharmaTechnologyIndex.com Pvt. Ltd. This significant event took place at BIEC in Bengaluru, marking its initial appearance in South India, where it gathered essential participants from pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors that showcased modern innovations, betterments and industry developments.
The prestigious event was inaugurated on January 8, 2025, by Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, Hon’ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka. The Minister emphasised Karnataka's new healthcare and pharmaceutical manufacturing policies, which strengthened the state's pharma innovation leadership.
The event also featured notable dignitaries, including Shri. Nitesh Patil, IAS, Director (MSME), Shri. Raja Bhanu, Director General of PHARMEXCIL, and Mr. Anjan Roy, Chairman of KDPMA, acknowledged the expo’s contribution to encouraging industry collaborations and growth. These pharma notables also participated in the panel discussions. Chakravarthi AVPS, Chairman, Federation of Pharma Entrepreneurs, FOPE South, TG&PA, India & Honorary Advisor Pharmaceutical Exports Promotion Council graced the event and encouraged the pharma entrepreneurs.
The exhibition, spanning 10,000 square meters, hosted over 156 exhibitors, including 60 MSME units participating under the MSME PMS Scheme, displaying state-of-the-art machinery and equipment for drug manufacturing and pharmaceutical products. Companies from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra, and Himachal Pradesh also participated actively. The three-day conference drew over 4,000 participants, including industry experts, business leaders, and pharma professionals, as they took advantage of networking and learning opportunities.

The “SME-Connect” Program was held on January 8. It was organised as part of the Global Investor Meet – Invest Karnataka 2025, and this initiative facilitated MSME participation in Karnataka’s growing pharma ecosystem.
Seminar on “Generation of Wealth from Waste” on January 8th – Organized by KDPMA, this session focused on sustainability and circular economy approaches in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Panel Discussion on “Enhancing EU-India Pharmaceutical Sector” occurred on 9th January. It was hosted by BCIC and the Council of EU Chambers of Commerce in India, and this insightful discussion explored strategies to strengthen collaborations between European and Indian pharmaceutical companies.
Indo-Africa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IACCI) Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet – Over 10 African buyers from Ethiopia, Ghana, Botswana, and Sudan engaged in business-to-business meetings, generating an estimated Rs. 10-12 crores in business opportunities.
Pharma Now was honoured to have been a part of this transformative event, which generated an estimated Rs. 150 crores in business prospects. The edition brought together visitors with strategic branding and professional advertising, which generated participant interest in the event's innovations, networking opportunities, and informative content sessions.
