Syntegon has reached a significant milestone in its sustainability efforts, with its climate goals officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). These goals align with the global ambition to limit warming to 1.5°C. By 2030, Syntegon plans to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 48.3% compared to 2019 levels. Additionally, the company targets a 25% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2022 levels, focusing on the impact of its machinery during customer operations.
The SBTi's validation underscores Syntegon's commitment to real emissions reductions rather than relying on carbon offsets. The company aims to achieve sustainability by enhancing the energy efficiency of its machinery and adopting greener materials, such as renewable energy and environmentally friendly alternatives like green steel.
CEO Torsten Türling emphasized that sustainability is embedded across Syntegon's supply chain and business model, reflecting shared values with customers and supporting their future-proof environmental goals. This positions Syntegon as a trusted partner in creating resource-efficient technologies.
