TurboFil Packaging Machines LLC, a company specializing in the design and development of liquid filling and assembly machines, is joining forces with Bridgewater, NJ-based Amneal Pharmaceuticals. Together, they aim to develop an advanced automated assembly and vial filling machine tailored for unidose liquid nasal devices. TurboFil’s system will be used by Amneal in producing naloxone doses, the life-saving drug utilized to act against the opioid overdoses.
This collaboration follows the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) recent approval of the over-the-counter selling of naloxone hydrochloride nasal spray, USP, 4mg. This product, the general version of Narcan, is important for treating opioid overdose emergencies.TurboFil’s system comes with advanced inspection capabilities, making sure that each device can effectively perform its critical, time-sensitive role. The machine's precise and flexible design incorporates state-of-the-art technology, meeting or exceeding the stringent accuracy tolerances required.
