BioDuro-Sundia Taps In Dr. Armin Spura as New CEO

BioDuro-Sundia, a leading Contract Research, Development, and Manufacturing Organization (CRDMO), has announced the appointment of Dr. Armin Spura as its new CEO. Dr. Spura arrives with over 20 years of expertise in life sciences and biotechnology, known for his ability to foster growth and innovation on a global scale.

Prior to joining BioDuro-Sundia, Dr. Spura was the CEO of Crown Bioscience for almost five years, where he played a crucial role in steering the company through a period of substantial growth and strategic advancement. His extensive career includes senior leadership roles at prominent organizations such as Thermo Fisher Scientific, WuXi NEXTCODE, CareDx, and Ion Torrent.

In addition to his new role, Dr. Spura is actively engaged in several advisory capacities. He chairs the board of directors at SeromYx Systems and provides strategic guidance as a life science investment advisor for K2X Technology and Life Science. Early in his career, he played a pivotal role in the expansion of two start-ups: Ingenuity Systems, which was acquired by Qiagen, and ForteBio, now integrated into Danaher. Dr. Spura pursued his biochemistry studies in Germany and earned his Ph.D. in molecular biology from Brown University in the U.S.
